The hands-only CPR App

01 May 2012

Currently less than 10% of the 30,000 people who collapse from cardiac arrest outside of a hospital per year survive, despite many being witnessed by members of the public.

The free app, which can be downloaded for iPhone or Android, gives step-by-step instructions and real time guidance on the techniques that need to be used.

Although CPR with rescue breaths remains the gold standard, research shows bystanders are more likely to intervene with the hands-only technique.
